Selecting ventilation for a wrapped load
Describe the goods, loading temperature, ventilation requirement and transport conditions. Confirm the hole pattern, film width, wrapping method and required load restraint using a sample. Check whether additional coverings would obstruct the airflow. Where a food application is intended, request the relevant documentation for the actual supplied grade and destination market.
Explain where air must reach the product and what other packaging surrounds it. Include photographs of the cartons or crates and how they are stacked. This helps the supplier review the film openings in relation to the load.
Ask for a trial in the actual wrapping arrangement, including the intended overlap and any top cover. Check whether openings remain effective after stretching and whether vulnerable corners receive enough protection for the normal handling route.
Agree how the trial will be assessed before placing the order. Review product condition, visible moisture and load movement at the relevant stages. Keep the chosen film, stacking arrangement and wrapping pattern together as the approved packing method.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
