Air column packaging within a protective carton
An air column pack provides cushioning as part of a complete package that also needs a suitable carton, support and closure. The supplied photograph establishes a product example, not a universal drop-test rating. Choose protection according to product fragility, mass and transport conditions. Validate the assembled pack with representative handling rather than relying on appearance.
Begin with the vulnerable parts of the item: corners, projecting components, polished surfaces or areas that cannot tolerate movement. The protective format should support those needs within the carton rather than simply filling the most visible empty space.
Check how the inflated pack and the carton work together. If the item can slide, rotate or contact a hard edge, the overall arrangement needs review. Cushioning should be assessed with the actual product, outer box and closure method.
Record the approved inflation arrangement and packing orientation with photographs. A similar-looking empty format may not behave the same way after inflation. Recheck the complete pack when product weight, shape, carton size or transport conditions change.
