A practical sequence for wrapping a pallet

Build the pallet with balanced weight and without unsupported overhang. Attach the film securely at the base, then apply an overlapping pattern appropriate to the load and equipment. Include the pallet in the wrap where the method permits, and protect sharp corners. Check that the finished wrap restrains the goods without crushing fragile cartons. Validate the pattern after representative handling.

Before wrapping, remove loose debris and check the pallet for damaged boards or exposed fasteners. Keep the goods within a stable footprint. Film should not be used to pull an unsafe or badly leaning stack into position.

Maintain a repeatable path around the load and pay attention to changes in shape. Corners, steps between carton sizes and the top layer can need a different approach from a straight side. Use the approved equipment settings.

Finish by checking the base connection, the top coverage and any loose film tail. Make sure transport labels can be read. Recheck the pallet after the first routine movement, when weak areas may become easier to see.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
