Choosing PVC film for building materials

Describe the material, surface coating, edges and storage route. Ask for an actual film sample and confirm width, thickness, roll format and removal requirements. Test compatibility on a less visible area before wrapping finished products. If a surface must remain unmarked, include that requirement in the sample acceptance and order confirmation.

Include the condition of the surface in your enquiry: unfinished, painted, polished or covered with another protective layer. Share any requirement for clean removal and explain how the goods will be stored before unpacking at their destination.

Check the complete bundle rather than a single small coupon alone. Edges, supporting blocks and contact pressure can affect the packing result. Include the intended separator, carton or strap in the trial when it is part of the process.

Keep photographs before application and after removal, together with the roll identification. Agree which marks or changes would be unacceptable. The approved sample and packing method provide a clearer purchasing reference than transparency or apparent roll strength.

Confirm your specification

Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.

Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
