Keeping PVC industrial film out of food packaging
Store and label this PVC range separately from materials approved for food applications. The supplied photographs and catalogue describe non-food industrial use. If the packing job changes, reassess material suitability instead of substituting rolls that look similar. Request a documented grade suitable for the intended application; appearance does not demonstrate regulatory compliance.
When several transparent films are stocked together, use clearly labelled locations and keep the roll identification attached until the material is consumed. A dispenser or loose roll without a label should be checked before being issued to a new job.
If an unidentified film has already been used for a different application, hold the affected packs for review by the responsible quality team. Record which roll was used and where. Do not establish suitability by visual inspection alone.
Update the packing instruction to name the approved material for the job and explain the checking step at changeover. Ask the supplier about a documented alternative when requirements change, rather than extending an industrial product’s intended use by assumption.
Confirm your specification
Specify width, thickness, roll length or net material weight, core size, colour, packing, quantity and destination. Final dimensions and performance are confirmed by the sample and order.
Product details are based on the GUDE catalogue and supplied photographs; operating guidance is general and must be verified on your equipment.
